Fernanda Piamonti

Profil - Fernanda Piamonti 1202XX

Fernanda Piamonti was born 1973 in the city of La Plata, Buenos Aires, Argentina. She began her Art education when she was 10 years old at The Arts High School Francisco De Santo. National University of La Plata (UNLP). Later she graduated as Art Professor with an Arts Licensure (UNLP). In 2002, she took Master courses at School Enrnesto de La Cárcova, Buenos Aires.

Since 1993, she has participated in national and international exhibitions where she has received numerous prizes and scholarships. Thanks to this opportunity she was able to live abroad. She has been invited to give open classes in the United States and Germany.

Her works have been exhibited in Foundations such as OSDE, YPF, Nation Bank Argentinian and North Carolina Museum of Art and are now part of their collections.

Her works are part of the Private Collections in England, Denmark, France, Italy, Spain, Canada, The United States, Venezuela, Colombia and Argentina. She has also organized individual and group exhibitions in her country and abroad. At the present she works in the historical San Telmo district of Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Juan Ramón Rojas

Born 1950 in Godoy Cruz Mendoza, Juan Ramón Rojas (known as Pepo) began his studies with Mendez Terrero. In 1971 he moved to Spain where he began his studies of Engraving with the Uruguayan teacher Antonio Andivero, forming the Madrid Engravers Group.

In 1973 his works were selected to be exhibited in the Museum of Modern Art of Ecuador, forming part of the gallery of the same. Upon returning to Argentina, he participates in different National Exhibition Halls representing the Province of Buenos Aires in engraving.

Since 1974, he exhibits in museums, cultural centers and houses of culture throughout the country and in France, England Spain and Angola.

Ileana Hochmann

Ileana Hochmann

In Argentinien geboren verbringt Ileana Hochmann den größten Teil ihres Lebens in Rio de Janeiro bevor sie wieder nach Buenos Aires zurückkehrte, wo sie heute lebt und arbeitet.

Ausgebildet an der National School of Fine Arts studierte sie später an der EAV, Escola de Artes Visuais do Parque Lage in Rio de Janeiro. Technisch gesehen befasst sich ihre Arbeit auf geradezu unkonventionelle Weise mit Siebdruck, jenseits der Reproduktion und meist im Dialog mit der Fotografie.

Die Überarbeitung der Materie zwischen dem Zwei- und dem Dreidimensionalen bringen Objekte und Installationen in den Raum wie in den gezeigten Arbeiten, in der die Körperlichkeit die Szenerie überschreitet.

Ileana Hochmann takes the sign of emigration and immigration. Granddaughter of Russian, born in Argentina, lived most of her life in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Trained at the National School of Fine Arts, and later at the EAV, Escola de Artes Visuais do Parque Lage en Rio de Janeiro (Parque Lage’s School of Fine Arts in Rio de Janeiro), her work begins in generating tropicalistas artists renewing Latin American Culture in the 1970s breaking with foreign influences in search of an identity.

Hochmann chooses the technique of screen printing as an expression and contemporary artistic language and creating new approaches beyond reproduction. Chosen for their alternative media impressions as industrial acetates, natural materials and organic. The works come out of the flat surface making it three-dimensional objects.

Her courses “Silkscreen. New approaches” in the National School of Fine Arts already show artist’s vision.
Ileana Hochmann’s works have been exhibited in galleries and art galleries in Buenos Aires, Copenhagen, Rome and Rio de Janeiro.

Her works are part of the largest Engraving Collection in Latin America and several private collections.
